Tim Sanders is the Labor Liaison at Metro United Way in Louisville, Kentucky. His responsibilities include developing, retaining and significantly growing the level of financial support, advocacy and volunteers for Metro United Way from Union affiliates in the seven-county area.
Before accepting the position as Labor Liaison, Tim served two-terms as Vice President of UAW Local 862. Hiring in at Ford Motor company’s Kentucky Truck Plant in 1999 Tim quickly got involved volunteering within the community, serving as an elected official within the Union and pursuing his college degree attending Northwood University graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Tim is an avid sports fan enjoying everything from football to horse racing. He enjoys the gym, working out several days a week and tries to find time for the golf course.
Tim and his beautiful wife Diane believe their Faith, Family, and Friends play an important part in their lives. They recently became proud grandparents to their first grandchild Wade. Tim’s only regret in his life is that he did not marry his lovely bride sooner.
