Sarah Gibson currently serves as Labor Relations Manager for LG&E and KU Energy, the holding
company for Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities, and a subsidiary of PPL
Corporation. In this role she is responsible for management of LG&E and KU’s Labor Relations long-term
strategy as well as day-to-day Labor Relations activities.
Sarah has over 10 years of Human Resources (HR) and Labor Relations experience and has spent the last 12 years with LG&E and KU Energy where she has progressed throughout HR into her most recent position in early 2022. She has played a key role in numerous contract negotiations. Through this experience, she has been able to understand how impactful successful relationships are to both labor and management and takes pride in creating and maintaining positive relationships.
Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Indiana University Southeast, a master’s degree in business administration from Sullivan University, Collective Bargaining Studies and Contract Negotiation certificates from Cornell and holds multiple HR certifications. Her training and experience have facilitated her attainment and success of different roles within LG&E and KU Energy.
Sarah and her husband, Patrick, reside on a beef cattle farm in southern Indiana with their daughters Harper and Kennedy.
