Gene is currently Political Director and Business Representative of IBEW Local 369, with offices in Louisville and Lexington. Gene is a 35-year member of Local 369. He began his apprenticeship in 1985 and worked in the field until 1999 and then began his current duties. Gene earned an Associate Degree from Ivy Tech State College in Southern Indiana in 2006. Gene is Chairman of the IBEW local 369 PAC, a trustee with the Floyd/Clark County Building and Construction Trades Council and, in 2020, was elected as President of the  Kentucky State I.B.E.W. Conference. He was appointed to the Kentucky Labor Management Conference Board in 2020.

Gene lives in Louisville with his wife of 39 years and one son.
